WhatsApp Commerce Bot

Built at Sidesoft (February — July 2022). A conversational sales channel for a WordPress + WooCommerce store, delivered through customers’ existing WhatsApp accounts.

What it does #

  • Customers browse, ask questions and place orders entirely inside WhatsApp.
  • A Node.js service syncs catalog, stock and order state with the WordPress store via its REST API.
  • Dialogflow handles intent detection and conversational flows.
  • Ultramsg is the bridge for inbound and outbound WhatsApp messages.

What I learned #

Combining a CMS-backed storefront with messaging automation removes the friction of “open the website” — the channel the customer already uses becomes the storefront.
